Field/retailer interview (Arabic, verbatim): «مطلي بالسيراميك — مو سيراميك حقيق و لكن يعني بس مطلي. ايضا السيراميك الكامل يعتبر خيار افضل وصحي اكثر ويحافظ على نظافة الماي اكثر، لان اللي العادي اول ماتفتح الماي يعطيك لون اصفر شوي بعدين ينظف. الخزف يعطيك ماي نظيف من البداية.» — Translation: "Ceramic-coated" tanks are not true ceramic, only coated; full-ceramic (khazaf) tanks are considered a better, healthier option and keep the water cleaner. The standard (coated) tank gives slightly yellow water for a moment when first opened before it clears, whereas the full-ceramic tank delivers clean water from the start. Note: Al Hasawi's porcelain SKUs (WH012GVDP, WH030lVC) are the liquid-enamel-coated type; Heat One (a Saudi Ceramics / Khazaf brand) is the full-ceramic type — see Heat One distinction note.
Al Hasawi water heaters perform better in Kuwaiti residential areas compared to areas in Kuwait with a high concentration of expatriates. Implication: end-customer mix is skewed Kuwaiti, not expat — relevant for channel selection and area-level distribution priorities. Note: 'perform better' is broader than 'sold more' — covers velocity, repeat purchase, and brand-pull effects rather than raw distribution counts.
The Ariston water-heater brand has been under Nabil Aba Hussain (CR 538052) for the past four months — effective from approximately 2026-01 — after previously being with Al Arabi (CR 458797). Al Arabi still records higher Ariston sales because the Al Arabi brand is more well-known, while Nabil Aba Hussain has limited advertising and consumer-awareness exposure. Winter peak.Water-heater demand peaks in Kuwait's cooler months (Nov–Feb) — one observed retailer reported 1,000 units/month in winter vs 5–15 units/day in the normal window. Air-conditioning is the summer mirror of this same seasonality.
